In 1904, a newly licensed young architect, Julia Morgan, designed the North Star House, setting in motion a career that over a century later brought her awards and accolades. In the Arts and Crafts style of handcrafted simplicity, the House offers multiple rooms, a stone terrace and lighted courtyard as well as two expansive lawn areas that easily adapt to your personal style while providing a unique and welcoming setting. We also host music, performance and cultural events and are close to the downtown historic districts of Grass Valley and Nevada City.
