Community Service:

The Nevada County Gem and Mineral Society is an active organization within the community:

We are a member of the local Chamber of Commerce.

Every year we give a sizable donation to the Earth Science Department of Sierra College.  The donation is for promoting earth science through needed equipment and supplies.

We also have gem and mineral displays throughout the community.

Annual magazine subscriptions are given to local libraries to promote our hobby.

We also donate to the California Federation of Mineralogical Societies’ Endowment Fund.
